The 2009 Committee

Here you can find out more about the RDP's elected committee and what roles they perform within the group. Ken Piggot (Life President) Ken has been with the group since its creation in 1979 as the Hospital District Players. He has appeared in all the pantos as well as being responsible for many other aspects of the show. Maureen Gannon (Chairperson) Maureen has been a member of RDP since 2002. She is Stage Manager when it comes to show time. but like all members of the committee she works in various roles throughout the year helping to raise funds for the group. Maureen also works as a healthcare assiatnt at Southend Hospital. Chris Wilkins (PR Officer) Chris joins the Committee this year as PR Officer. The Group is very much a family affair for her with her daughter Storm also on the committee. Simon Bitensky This is Simon's third year on the RDP committee.. He is 24 years old and have been part of the group for four years. As well as being on the committee, he also performs on stage and was Baron Hardup in our last production 'Cinderella.' Leah Volke Leah has been with the Rochford District Players for three years now. As well as being a member of the committee, she has previously choreographed and acted in the group. Leah was director for our last panto 'Cinderella.' Storm Bitensky Storm is 23 years old and has been in the group for nine years, this being her third as part of the Committee. She enjoys every minute of it and loves having a laugh with everyone in the group. Vicky Gannon Vicky has just complted her fourth show with the Rochford District Players. She has been with the committee since joining the group. At showtime, she is a member of the production team, mainly helping with the lighting. Sue Bailey Sue rejoins the committee after a two year break. She has been witht he group for eight years and her role come showtime is as Prompt and selling Tickets out the front.
